In my regular podcast feeds, I recently listened to two great podcasts from On Being and watched one from TED. I figured I'd share them with you. Let me know what you think.

I Like Scared Stiff TV
I like me some old-school horror and suspense. And a friend of mine does, too.
Doug Plomitallo created Scared Stiff TV. He saw that there was a void on YouTube of original horror and suspense content. I've known Doug a very long time and I know of his love for such movies as Friday the 13th, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Halloween series. Each short story is full of plot twists, spine-tingling suspense and even some truly funny moments. His acting troupe is a combination of local Connecticut actors and his very talented family.
The latest episode is The Game. Don't watch it alone!

Krista Tippett: Reconnecting with compassion | Video on TED.com
I listen to Krista Tippett's show "Being" via iTunes podcast. It's a show that features intelligent discussions of all things spiritual. How people live out their beliefs has always been very interesting to me. I try to live out my faith in a positive manner and try to reach hearts with humour and positivity.
Krista makes a point in the video that we, as a culture, have gotten as far as we can with the idea of tolerance of others and intolerance of injustice. Now is the time to add compassion to our understanding of others. Within the framework of love, compassion takes us from neutral to positive.
